Lamb Koftas

Kofta

These are so easy to make, the weather was pants (as usual) when I made mine so I cooked them in the oven, but they are great cooked on skewers on the barbeque.

 

Makes about 15 small or 5 large koftas

Ingredients

  • 500g minced lamb
  • Small onion grated
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • Pinch salt and pepper (to taste)

 

Instructions

  1. Grate the onion, I know it’s a messy smelly job but it is really worth doing
  2. Mix all ingredients together and shape
  3. Yes that’s it!!!!
  4. Either cook in the oven at about 180°c for about 20 mins or grill on the barbeque unitl cooked through

 

You can add a bit of chilli if you want but I quite like to make them fairly plain and then add chilli sauce as a condiment.  I like to serve mine with pitta bread and home made coleslaw
